beaded bracelets

You know how girls easily get bored. They have enjoyed making beaded jewelry so much. But now, they are bored with making beaded bracelets and rings for themselves and their friends. They need something else to do. Maybe a project that will hopefully put to use the colorful beads and other materials that they still have.

A beaded bookmark will be an easy project that will take only an hour or so to finish. They will need a jumbo craft stick, acrylic paint, small photos or their friends, white paper, 6 inches of thin ribbon and 2 pony beads. They can begin by painting both sides of the craft stick in their favorite color. Let it dry. Cut a small school photo into an oval. Glue it to one end of the craft stick. Cut a 3/8×4-inch shape out of white paper. On it, write a special note in marker. Glue it to the craft stick. Fold the ribbon in half, and glue the fold to the bottom back of the bookmark. Let it dry, and then string some beads onto each end. Make a double-knot at the ends to hold the beads in place.
